Who is Melani Blazer?

Just a normal gal who loves to write. While I may not have "always" wanted to be a writer, I guess I preferred writing as the way to express emotions, pour out my soul or capture a memory. I've been an avid reader my entire life- fiction, mystery, romance, even fantasy. One night, while bored and without a book that interested me, I sat down and started writing my own story.

And ended up here.

My favorite genre is paranormal romance. Not only do I get my *sigh* happily every after, but a bit of magic along the way. I love the enchantment of suspending belief and living in a world so different from this one, watching the characters react to bizarre circumstances and grow internally as well as in their love for one another. Reading is an escape, and I've found, writing is as well. (Until it comes to editing, of course, then I wish I could escape…)

I live in the Midwest with my husband of 15 yrs.
I have a teenage daughter and a house full of cats.
I'm a self proclaimed adrenaline junkie—fast cars and motorcycles top the list.
My second love is photography—it's my alternate "reality" escape.
I hate talking about myself so I'm gonna stop here!

If I'm not online, I'm doing laundry or scrubbing pots and pans. (Ignore the laughter from my husband, please.) But you don't want to hear about that.

I don't consider myself an artist, but it's true that my preferred ways of expressing myself—or blowing off steam—is in art related ways. I dabble in photography, mostly nature pieces (okay, and lots of pictures of my cats). I might add a few to the site when I have a chance!
