Author of magical, sensual romance

Melani Blazer

Text Box: When Kyla gets her hands on a copy of SeXTC—the underground magazine devoted entirely to carnal pleasures—Dr. Sex’s article on masturbation has her joining right in. Flushed with the afterglow, she drops him an email thanking him–intending to be as anonymous as the doctor himself.

Donovan, aka Dr. Sex, can’t believe the email he’s received from what turns out to be his co-worker. He responds, of course, and
when the expert and the novice get together to explore their wild sides, sparks fly and feelings Donovan doesn’t expect emerge. Unfortunately, Kyla refuses to believe she’s anything more to him than research. There’s a lot he’s willing to do for a story—giving up Kyla isn’t one of them.

Donovan Harper sighed and pushed his chair back from his desk. Eight hours at a day job, then he came home to this. Publishing a magazine was damn hard work. Not that he did it alone, but there was no office, no board room for corporate meetings. The majority of their correspondence was via email.

And despite the hoopla of being “Dr. Sex”, it was a lonely job. Truth was, he could go for a serious bout of sex right now and was not interested in playing do-it-yourself. He stretched and ran down his mental list of woman he knew would be ready and willing, and found none of them appealed to him right now.

He picked up the phone and dialed one of his co-founders of SeXTC. Chelsea Morgan’s voice mail answered, all low and seductive, announcing she wasn’t home. “Lucky her,” he muttered and hung up without leaving a message. They’d been lovers, once, but did better as friends. While he didn’t doubt she’d indulge him in releasing some sexual energy, he was really calling to see how the layout was looking. He knew the answer. They needed more.

He checked his email again, scanning the mail coming into Dr. Sex. A lot of the crap never made it to the magazine. He wasn’t publishing true confessions here. Questions worked for his Ask Dr. Sex column, but there’d been a shortage of those this month too.

Then a name popped up. Kyla Wilhelm. Damn, he knew that name. He rubbed his eyes and leaned toward the monitor. “Kyla Wilhelm. Kyla. Where do I know you?”

Her email opened his eyes—wide, but it wasn’t because he discovered why her name was familiar.

I can’t believe I’m writing you. I’m a straight, single and very in touch with my body—in many ways, including the very graphic description you provided in your May issue of SeXTC. Your magazine was passed to me from a friend, but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of you. Reading your articles really turned me on. Any chance we’ll see a photo of you?
The idea of ménage…or more…really gets me hot. Hopefully I’ll be reading about that soon!

Jane Doe

“Jane Doe,” Donovan laughed. “Kyla Wilhelm. So I turned you on, eh?” He wrote Mr. Sex to make it sound like he walked around with a perpetual woody, but right now he was feeling very much the part—hard-on and all.

Before he dashed off an email inviting her over for some research, he wrote her name on a piece of paper and pulled up his search engines in hopes of rediscovering this sexy stranger. Flat out, he wanted her.

He loved a challenge.

4 Angels from Fallen Angel Reviews

Talk about heat in such a small book between Kyla and Dr. Sex. Melani Blazer did an awesome job in fully writing the book with such descriptive wording that the reader will fall in love with Dr. Sex himself. Each chapter was like reading about his life and somewhat surprised by all the women he has had. Now Kyla, I liked for even though she wanted Dr. Sex she was still naïve about certain things that involved sex. Though there was a female/female scene it was still hot between Dr. Sex and Kyla. I liked that even though it was short Melani Blazer made it seem fast-paced with each chapter beginning with a small tale of Dr. Sex’s thoughts. Great job!

5 Hearts from Love Romances

SeXTC is exactly where this reviewer was while reading Ms. Blazer’s story. The opening paragraph will leave you breathless as the hero Donovan is introduced. You might begin to think that Kyla is just another typical heroine who needs to get laid, but you’ll be so wrong. Yes, she may need a good romp in the hay, but she has fantasies that need fulfilling. With her spunk and passion she’ll more than satisfy her needs.

Donovan knows sex. He may not be familiar with the matters of the heart, but he knows how to please a woman in bed.  At work this hero is a quiet introvert, but when he’s working on his magazine SeXTC there’s nothing introvert about him.

They’ll take you on a sexual ride you’ll never forget. This reviewer can’t say enough about Ms. Blazer’s SeXTC. The only disappointment; this reader wishes it were longer. SeXTC left this reviewer craving oh so much more from the sexy couple!

4 Stars from Just Erotic Romance Reviews

If you want a good erotic story with a hint of love to come, then SeXTC is the story for you.  Melani Blazer packed it with enough fantasy, a’la Penthouse Forum, and then gave us the reality, and I for one was left smiling.  Donovan is a walking, talking manual for sex, and luckily for him, Kyla was open to learning.  Granted, Kyla was hungry for sex, but the sight of Donovan made her toes curl and had her panting.  I can only imagine what it must be like knowing that the reason you are meeting someone is strictly for sex... Satisfyingly fast paced with some very steamy ménage a trios (that scene will DEFINITELY have you searching for the toys) I was quite pleased with how it all ended.
